After brunch, I decided that it was far too lovely of a day to stay inside, so I changed clothes and put on my hiking shoes and hit the trail. I probably went about 4 miles and the weather was simply perfect. So many people were out on the trail today....you could feel everyone's upbeat energy and joyfulness. All those poor folks who had been suffering from Seasonal Affective Disorder were out kicking up their heels today and loving life!
Once back home, Gordon's buddy, Terry Moses, came by for a visit. Terry and Gordon go way back and have a great friendship. Terry shared that he's been keeping up with my juice feast by reading my blog everyday. So here's a shout out.....HI TERRY....thank you for taking the time to read my juicy musings! We talked about juicers and VitaMixers and all kinds of cleansing regimes and such. It sounds like he is seriously considering doing a juice feast of his own this summer. I can see why summer would be an excellent time to start with all of the farmer's markets in full swing and when the abundance of affordable produce abounds. In the meantime, I gave him my copy of Green For Life by Victoria Boutenko to read. I swear that book is a must read for everybody. Since he already has a Vita Mix, he can start getting jiggy with the green smoothies and lay some good ground work before starting a full on juice feast. By the way, if you live in Tulsa, you should seriously consider getting hooked up with Mr. Moses if you're in need of having your carpet or upholstery flawlessly cleaned. You can get the master's touch by calling Terry @ CarpetMaster at 838-1181.
So, Sunday was a wonderful day. It felt so good to unplug from my computer and cell phone and just enjoyed the day and each moment as it came. Hopefully the way this day flowed will be the tone and mood for the entire week ahead.

Sounds like a wonderful day, Penni
I think your friend will really like the smoothies. I'm sitting here polishing one off as I read blogs. GOOD one: blueberry, tangerine and lettuce.
People haven't used the word glowing when they speak to me - but a lot of people have commented on the change of my skin tone. I think it is more apparent to others than to me.
I've decided to go back to a full on juice feast when my new juicer arrives - which I figure will be in about a week.

What a beautiful day you had! By looking at the pictures you've shared with us over the months, I think you've always been glowing. You have an inner love/spirit/energy that shines right through! Now that you are juicing, however, you are even more RAWdiant!
Lots of love to you, Penni!

XOXO
Penni, what a great day you had. Isn't it wonderful to get away from electricity. I seem to be addicted to my computer in a bad way.
It seems we both spent our Sundays at restaurants feeling unaffected. Good for you! Aren't we awesome?! :o)
As usual your post brings a smile to my face. Have a great day.

I'm going to have to call Terry soon (if he comes to Bartlesville!)
It is amazing what one sunny day can do to lift your spirits after the dreary Oklahoma rain and winter...speaking of which...ugh!
I'm drinking lots of fresh juiced oranges hoping glow from the inside out on a day like today :)
